I’ve always been a passionate sports fan, and my love for sports debates is rooted in my childhood, growing up in Philly. I vividly remember grabbing a copy of the Philadelphia Daily News and flipping straight to the back page to catch up on the latest sports updates. That early love for sports and reporting led me to pursue a degree in Journalism at Penn State, where I had the incredible experience of attending the very first “White Out” game at Beaver Stadium.
I worked in sports for almost seven years, primarily in public relations, gaining invaluable experience with organizations like the Philadelphia Phantoms, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), and the Indianapolis Colts. Later, I transitioned into basketball scouting, where I had the privilege of working with The Court Report, under the mentorship of Marty and Ryan Blake, further honing my scouting skills.
The creation of Sortie Sports stems from my love of sports debates. Lists are the backbone of every great sports conversation—ever-changing, and never definitive, which is why I’m so passionate about them. Through Sortie Sports, my goal is to curate lists that spark debates and engage fans. I use SEO tools to discover what sports fans are searching for and leverage ChatGPT to help generate content, which I review, modify, and fine-tune to ensure accuracy and relevance. The aim is to create lists across all sports and eventually expand into creating custom, one-of-a-kind lists while keeping AI as a supportive tool.
Moving forward, I plan to expand Sortie Sports by bringing in contributors who share my passion for sports, enabling a diversity of perspectives.
